Untitled scores
Experimental scores / Drawings and songs by Ryan Driver
Quebec City, 2008
Description
I created a series of drawings of altered instruments and absurd performance proposals. Scores proposed playing the flute with borrowed breath, or holding it out of a car window to play it with the wind. Others include two trombones with one shared slide, a song sung with a dental guard in place, or an electric guitar plugged into lemon batteries. Some scores were more abstract with drawings of icicles, flower buds, or a model of the CN Tower.
Five of the scores were interpreted by Ryan Driver for performance in Quebec City at L’Oeil de Poisson. The songs were recorded and will be released as a CD later in 2008. Check later for more information.
