Songs for Hart House
Performance for piano/experimental scores/drawings
Toronto, 2006
Description
I created several drawings based on the architecture and experience of Hart House, and developed the drawings into experimental musical scores. I had no previous experience with music composition or piano performance.
The scores including Song for the First Floor, Song for Table Ornament, Song for a Game of Pool, and Song for Snow – were installed in the Music Room of Hart House, and they were interpreted and performed by three pianists, Lyn Tieu, Gavin Ouyang, and Mimi Mok.
The work was made in Toronto in 2006.
